A wonderful combination of different art expressions.
Human art: Visiting a Nobel prize home, his life, all poetry. After, hand crafted clay pottery, in a town of artists.
Nature art: a morning of Pacific Ocean landscapes, with beaches (french coast style) and a classic portrait of a busy port in San Antonio. In the afternoon, the countryside will wait for us with valleys and little towns surrounded by hills. Plus, delicious home made recipes at lunch time. One day to know Pablo Neruda´s favourite residence and also be surprised at the picturesque town of Pomaire, where we can stroll about, practise the pottery and admire all their iconic clay products in a tour hand in hand with our guide. Beautiful places and excellent service for a remarkable journey.

Stop At: Isla Negra Museum House, Isla Negra, Valparaiso Region

Perched on a bluff overlooking the sea, the Isla Negra house is a
shrine to the life, work and many passions of the Chilean poet and Nobel laureate Pablo Neruda. Throughout the house, you will find displays of treasures he collected over the course of his remarkable life. Although he spent much time living and traveling abroad, Neruda made Isla Negra his primary residence later in life. Neruda and his wife are buried in the prow-shaped
tomb area behind the house.
Pomaire is a very small town about an hour out of Santiago, and famous for the clay pottery its residents make. The two main streets, which are very narrow, have been filled with an impressive amount of artisanal shops, each overflowing with “greda” (brown clay) goods. Because the buildings are so low, you’re able to see the hills that surround the town, and the whole place has a strange I-stepped-back-about-forty-years charm.
