Our transport brings you to the Liucura river, with its incredible views, and crystal clear water. Customers receive instruction on how their equipment works, how to maneuver and paddle the boat, and what to do if the double kayak rolls over.
In the Liucura, after a little instruction and practice in the slow section of the river there are a few class 2-3 rapids that will help you warm up and get your adrenaline pumping. All of our customers can paddle with confidence knowing that the guide is behind them, ultimately in control of the kayak, and providing words of encouragement along the way with instructions on where to go. Eventually you will reach the intersection of the Liucura and the powerful Trancura river which help to create the class 3-4 rapids, the Junta and the Leona. In the double kayak you are seated in the front experiencing every wave and rapid up close and personal. Finally after the excitement of the fast white water from the Junta and the Leona rapids, you will reach one last class 2-3 rapid before finishing the trip.
While winding down in the final slow section of the river one can enjoy the beauty of Northern Patagonia before the opportunity to change and then head back to the town of Pucon, in the Kayak Chile Van. Also, if you didn’t have the pleasure of flipping the double kayak over during your run, your guide, if requested, will demonstrate a roll with you in the boat just before exiting the water.

Assorted greens and edible flowers cultivated in their own garden make fresh, verdant salads. For dessert, she might serve mote con huesillos (a typical summer drink made with stewed dried peaches and a South American grain called mote) or a French tarte.

Carolina is originally from Temuco in Southern Chile, where she was raised among the plants, fruits and vegetables her family cultivated in their enormous garden. Her husband Alain is originally from France, where they lived together until moving back to Chile in 2005. Carolina inherited her love of cooking from the women in her family; her mother, aunt and grandmother were very talented, economical cooks who excelled in making the best of limited ingredients. After successful, fast-paced careers in London, Carolina (a journalist) and Alain (a financial engineer) decided to move to Pucón to open their B&B, Maison Nomade. Their beautiful property includes their home, a five-room guesthouse, a productive garden, bee hives, play areas for their four children, a pool, and a stunning view of Villarrica, a beautiful active volcano.
Carolina grows many of the fruits and vegetables you will enjoy on her property, so her cooking is fresh, organic and seasonal. Carolina is a committed organic gardener who also offers local workshops for adults and children and participates in local initiatives to promote and protect the heritage of native seeds. These wonderful hosts love to share their lives with their guests, so be ready to relax on their beautiful property and enjoy the pleasures of a home-style meal at their table!
This is a family friendly experience! The property has plenty of space to run around and a fun play-structure. Carolina and here husband also know the Pucón area very well and can give you great advice on activities and places to visit.
