Your tour begins with hotel pick up. Meet your guide and board a private vehicle heading to the Aconcagua Valley. This tour will show you Santiago’s historic downtown and beyond. You will be picked up at the Port of San Antonio by one of our expert guides in a private vehicle and drive for an hour and a half to Chile’s capital of Santiago We will start by visiting San Cristobal Hill where we will take a cable car to the summit and enjoy the most amazing panoramic views of the entire city and Andes Mountains. Afterwards, we will drive through the bohemian neighborhood of Bellavista before arriving in the historic city center where we will see Florestal Park, the Museum of Fine Arts, Plaza de Armas (Santiago’s main square), the Cathedral, City Hall, Historic Post Office, Old Congress Building, Palacio La Moneda (The Government House), National Theater, Santiago Stock Exchange, and Santa Lucía Hill. Originally named Cerro Huelén by the Mapuche Indians, Santa Lucía Hill is where Pedro de Valdivia founded the city in 1541. We will also pass through the vibrant bohemian neighborhood of Lastarria. We will then drive to the eastern side of the city, to the financial heart of Santiago, known for its modern buildings and impressive glass skyscrapers, passing by Costanera Center, South America’s tallest building. Our tour begins with your private pick up at the Port of San Antonio and then an hour and a half drive to Valparaiso. We will first stop at Punta Angeles Lighthouse where you will have a panoramic view of the entire harbor. Then, we head to the city center at Plaza Sotomayor and ride up an old funicular to Concepcion and Alegre Hills. Bohemian and colorful, Valparaiso’s maze of hills has long inspired poets and writers. You will discover something new at every turn – a gem of a building, a remarkable art gallery or some little gastronomic ‘find’. Revel in the architecture of this UNESCO World Heritage City. Stroll along its narrow streets, climb its endless staircases, and enjoy panoramic views from its many lofty lookout points. After exploring the hills, we will go on a 30-minute boat ride around the harbor.
