Join your guide on this 9 hour day tour to San Jose de Maipo and Cajon del Maipo. Discover the beauty of the Andes mountains while visiting  Cajon del Maipo, one of the preferred areas of central Chile for ecotourism. Stop for lunch (own expense) at a mountainside restaurant on your return to Santiago.

After picking up the hotel, the first stop is San José de Maipo, a small and picturesque village founded in 1792. After a walk, you will continue to Cajón del Maipo and El Yeso Dam (Embalse El Yeso), the main source of fresh water for Santiago.

During the trip, you will see a glacier; flora and fauna typical of the area; and a wonderful Andean mountain system that continues to evolve. In the reservoir, you will have time to enjoy the wonderful landscape, accompanied by a cheese tasting.

On the way back to Santiago, there will be time for a late lunch in a typical mountain restaurant (included).

The visit concludes with the delivery of the hotel.

The house contains a variety of collections that the poet kept for decades in his last refuge:. After the visit we will depart to Pomaire, a town known for its handmade clay potters. Its famous pottery .

Once in Pomaire's town, we will walk through the main street, where the potters display their pots and other decorative items. Also, you will be able to try homemade liquors, delicious empanadas, corn pies and all staples of traditional Chilean cuisine.
